On December 11, 2024, a meeting of the Group of Friends of Neutrality for Peace, Security and Sustainable Development was held in Ashgabat in the building of the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan to discuss the current agenda. It is reported Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
It was noted at the meeting that the work of the Group of Friends is systematic and ensures the growing importance of the organization as a structure supporting security in the world. The meeting also decided to approve the Global Security Strategy based on the principles enshrined in the UN Charter and meeting the challenges of the time.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the member countries of the Group, heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Turkmenistan and representatives of Turkmen consulates in foreign countries.
