On Sunday, December 15, Turkmenistan delegation headed by Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov paid a working visit to Afghanistan. The delegation was accompanied by representatives of the Afghan side headed by Acting Foreign Minister Amir Khan Mottaki. This is reported by Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan.
The purpose of the working visit of the Turkmen delegation was to familiarize with the implementation of major international projects with the participation of Turkmenistan in the spheres of construction, energy and transport. In particular, the Turkmen delegation familiarized itself with the construction of the TAPI gas pipeline on the Serhetabat-Herat section, as well as with the ongoing work on laying the fiber-optic line "Arkadagyň ak ýoly". Attention was paid to the construction of a complex of warehouses in the dry port of Turgundi railway station.
