The Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan has changed the procedure for recognizing diplomas of higher and secondary vocational education for graduates of foreign educational institutions in legal specialties. This is reported by the Internet publication AsmanNews.
According to the amendments, graduates of foreign law schools now need to take a special paid course of three months to have their diplomas recognized in Turkmenistan. The curriculum for this course will be prepared by the staff of the country's Ministries of Justice and Education.
This change was introduced to improve the quality of professional education and to ensure that the level of knowledge of graduates of legal specialties of foreign universities meets the requirements of the Turkmen legislation.
