Avaza, August 7 - Arzuw.news. Turkmen Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov held talks with the head of the Foreign Ministry of the Kingdom of Lesotho Lejone Mpotjoane in the Avaza tourist zone. The parties expressed interest in establishing diplomatic relations between the two states in the near future. This is reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
During the meeting, the diplomats discussed the prospects for intensifying bilateral cooperation and the importance of a systematic dialog between the foreign ministries. They paid special attention to the opportunities for developing trade and economic ties, including cooperation in agriculture and hydropower.
The Ministers emphasized the importance of the participation of the Foreign Minister of Lesotho in the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Countries. The sides noted the effectiveness of cooperation within the framework of international organizations, especially within the United Nations structures.
At the end of the talks, the diplomats expressed their intention to continue the practice of mutual support for the sake of peace and sustainable development.
