Turkmenistan and Ethiopia discussed cooperation at LLDC3

Turkmenistan and Ethiopia intend to expand bilateral ties

Avaza, August 7 - Arzuw.news. Turkmenistan's Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov held a meeting with Ethiopia's Minister of Transport and Logistics Alemu Sime Feisa on the margins of the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries. This is reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

During the talks, the diplomats reviewed the prospects of strengthening bilateral partnership with special attention to the trade and economic direction. The participants of the meeting emphasized the key role of reciprocal high-level and high-level visits for the development of interstate relations.

The parties noted the effectiveness of joint work within the framework of international structures, primarily the UN, and also discussed the possibilities of interaction with the African Union. The Ethiopian Minister highly appreciated the organizational level and results of the LLDC3 conference held in Ashgabat.

The diplomats reaffirmed their commitment to peace-loving initiatives and agreed to continue partnership in this sphere. Special attention was paid to the upcoming International Forum of Peace and Confidence, which is scheduled to be held in the Turkmen capital in December this year.

The Ministers also emphasized the importance of regular political consultations as a tool to maintain a constructive dialogue between the two states.
