UN programs for Turkmenistan for 2026-2030 approved

The second regular sessions of the Executive Boards of UNDP, UNFPA and UNICEF, which were held from August 25 to September 5, have ended in New York. The sessions resulted in the approval of country program documents for Turkmenistan for the period of 2026-2030. This is reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The program concepts were developed in close cooperation with the Turkmen side. The approved documents define the framework for the implementation of projects and activities jointly with the offices of the three UN organizations in Turkmenistan for the next five years.

The new program documents cover the activities of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) in the country. They will become the basis for further development of multilateral cooperation between Turkmenistan and the specialized agencies of the United Nations.
