Mejlis of Turkmenistan created three new settlements

The Mejlis of Turkmenistan has adopted a resolution on the formation of three new settlements in Akhal and Dashoguz provinces. The decision was taken on September 8 within the framework of the presidential programs of socio-economic development of the country for 2022-2028. Two new villages were established in Akhal province. Dovletli Mekan" village was established in Ongaldy gengeshlik of Ak Bugday etrap, where the administrative center of the gengeshlik is also transferred. The second village "Bagtly Zaman" was established in Govshut gengeshlik of Kakyn etrap with a similar transfer of the administrative center.

In Dashoguz province, a new settlement "Bitaraplyk" appeared in the Köneurgench etrap. Simultaneously with its formation, the Tiaze yol gengeshlik of the same etrap was abolished, and its five villages - Tiaze yol, Chilter, Gamyshlyoi, Garashsyzlyk and Gazaker - were transferred to the administrative subordination of the new settlement.

The Decree provides for preservation of powers of the members of the Gengesh of the abolished Gengeshlik Tyaze yol for the term established by law. The Ministry of Agriculture is instructed to describe the administrative boundaries of the newly formed settlements together with the velayat khakimliks.
