President congratulates cultural figures on Independence Day

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov has sent congratulations to the representatives of the sphere of culture and art on the occasion of the 34th anniversary of the country's independence. The congratulations are also related to the awarding of state honors and victory in the competition for the Presidential Award "Türkmeniň Altyn asyry". The head of state noted the special significance of 2025, which is declared the International Year of Peace and Trust, and also marks the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality. In August this year, the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries was held in the Avaza tourist zone.

The "Türkmeniň Altyn asyry" contest has been organized on a regular basis for many years. Every year hundreds of works in various genres from novelists, poets, journalists, artists, composers, musicians, film directors and theater actors are submitted for participation.

Creative workers are active in popularizing the principles of neutrality, friendship and humanism of the Turkmen State. International festivals, exhibitions, concerts and contests contribute to the promotion of Turkmen culture at the world level.

Earlier, a meeting of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan was held under the chairmanship of the National Leader of the Turkmen people Hero Arkadag.
