On Wednesday, March 1, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to Georgia D. Muratov met with Deputy Foreign Minister of Georgia A. Khvtisiashvili. Khvtisiashvili. This is reported on the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
During the meeting, the sides emphasized that the diplomatic cooperation between the two states was based on the principles of mutual respect for each other's interests, equality and trust. The sides noted that the agreements reached at the highest level laid the foundation for bringing the Turkmen-Georgian cooperation to a qualitatively new level.
The diplomats named the priority areas for the development of partnership ties. One of the most important is trade and economic cooperation, in which the role of the Intergovernmental Commission cannot be overestimated. Energy and transportation and logistics were also named among the priority vectors of cooperation.
Current issues related to the organization of planned joint events in Georgia and Turkmenistan were discussed.
