The OSCE Center is holding a training course on media literacy for trainers in the capital of Turkmenistan from October 29 to 30. This is reported by the Internet publication "AsmanNews.
The course is aimed at training specialists working in the media. It covers a wide range of topical areas, including principles of media literacy, fact-checking methods, training techniques, countering misinformation, and mastering advanced Internet search tools.
The course participants receive not only theoretical knowledge, but also the opportunity to practice it with the help of cases. Specialists from Kazakhstan - Adil Jalilov, director of the MediaNet International Center for Journalism and Factcheck.kz, and his deputy Duman Smakov - have been invited to the course as international experts. Ivan Pechishchev, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Journalism at PSPNIU, teaches the course online.
