A new international airport in Jebel city of Balkan province of Turkmenistan is at the final stage of construction. This is reported by the Internet publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".
More than 600 specialists are involved in the construction of the new facility and modern technologies are used. Currently, the construction of a transformer substation, a special water reservoir and premises for firefighting services is in the process of completion. A 35-meter control tower and premises for technical units are under construction.
The new airport will be able to receive almost any type of airplanes and serve up to 100 passengers per hour. The airport in Jebel will contribute to the development of the Balkan region of the country and Turkmenistan as a whole.
