Results of the meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Turkmenistan and Afghanistan

Today, Turkmen Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov met with the visiting delegation of Afghanistan headed by Acting Afghan Foreign Minister Amir Khan Mottaki. This is reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The sides exchanged views on intensifying the implementation of the projects of the TAPI gas pipeline, Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan (TAP) high-voltage power transmission line, construction of a railroad from Turkmenistan to Afghanistan.

Readiness to carry out works on the territory of Afghanistan was noted. Agreements were also reached on the training of specialists from Afghanistan in higher and secondary professional educational institutions of Turkmenistan.

The sides also reached agreements on regular interaction on topical issues at the level of the countries' foreign ministries.
