On August 24, the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Palestine and Palestinians Living Abroad Riyad al-Maliki. This is reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
During the meeting, the sides noted that political and diplomatic relations between the countries are actively developing on the basis of friendship, trust and mutual respect. Chairman Halk Maslakhaty expressed gratitude to the Palestinian side for supporting Turkmenistan's initiatives within the framework of the UN activities.
Prospects for the development of trade and economic partnership, including in the business circles of the two countries, were noted. Among the main areas of cooperation, the sides named the petrochemical and textile sectors, agriculture and processing industries, export of various food products, digital technologies. Prospects for cooperation in culture, art and creativity, as well as in science and education were recognized.
