The presidents of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan held a bilateral meeting in Tashkent on Thursday. It was held within the framework of the meeting of the Economic Cooperation Organization. This was reported by the State Information Agency of Turkmenistan.
The two leaders reportedly discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation. They talked about political dialog, trade and economic relations and humanitarian ties between the countries.
Special attention was paid to the prospects of expanding economic cooperation in the format of the Economic Cooperation Organization.
In addition, the Presidents exchanged views on topical issues on the international and regional agenda.
Following the meeting, the sides reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening of strategic partnership between Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
