Representatives of the foreign ministries of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Turkey held political consultations in Ankara on August 14. About it reports Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan.
The Turkmen delegation was headed by Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov, while the Turkish delegation was headed by Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan. The sides noted the special importance of regular meetings at the highest and high levels and inter-ministerial consultations in strengthening interstate ties. The issues of organization of the forthcoming meetings were discussed.
The sides discussed the main aspects of expanding inter-parliamentary and diplomatic relations, as well as issues of improving the legal framework. Among the topical issues touched upon during the bilateral meeting was the development of cooperation in trade and economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres. Partnership in energy, transportation and other areas of mutual interest were also discussed.
