Avaza, August 6 - Arzuw.news. President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with King Eswatini Mswati III on the sidelines of the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries. The parties agreed to establish diplomatic relations between the states. This is reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The conference is held in the Avaza National Tourist Zone and is organized once a decade. King Eswatini highly appreciated the organizational level of the event and congratulated the Turkmen leader on Turkmenistan's unanimous election as Vice-Chairman of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly.
The head of Turkmenistan stressed that the country builds its policy on the basis of the status of permanent neutrality, which has been recognized three times by the UN. He noted that Turkmenistan is developing friendly ties with all interested states, especially with African countries.
President Berdimuhamedov expressed readiness to support initiatives to develop relations with the Kingdom of Eswatini. He offered to provide information on Turkmenistan's achievements in the energy sector and export potential.
The sides see great potential for cooperation in trade and economic, cultural, humanitarian and other spheres. The participants of the meeting expressed confidence that the establishment of diplomatic relations will lay the foundation for long-term partnership and will contribute to strengthening peace and stability in the international arena.
