The diplomats discussed prospects for strengthening bilateral and international cooperation between the countries. The sides noted the positive dynamics of relations in economic, political, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
The Turkmen ambassador emphasized his country's readiness to act as a reliable and honest partner for mutually beneficial cooperation. Shagulyev recalled that on the initiative of Turkmenistan and with the unanimous support of the UN General Assembly, 2025 was declared the International Year of Peace and Trust.
Special attention was paid to the upcoming anniversary of Turkmenistan's neutral status. On December 12, the country will celebrate the 30th anniversary of its neutrality, which is recognized by the international community as an important factor of regional stability.
The Ambassador also noted the successful holding of the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries in Turkmenistan from August 5-8. The event was a key platform for deepening international cooperation.
The Vietnamese diplomat reiterated his country's interest in expanding cooperation with Turkmenistan and praised the Turkmen side's peacekeeping initiatives.
