Turkmenistan joins the Agreement on the Development of the Europe-Caucasus-Asia Route

On November 14, Turkmenistan held a signing ceremony of the Basic Multilateral Agreement on International Transport for the Development of the Europe-Caucasus-Asia Route. This was reported by the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan.

The document joined by Turkmenistan was adopted in Baku in September 1998. The multilateral Agreement regulates the stages of development of international trade and economic relations. It is designed to facilitate the transportation of goods between the countries of Europe, the Black Sea, the Caspian Sea, the Caucasus and Asia. In addition, the Agreement ensures the safety of cargo movement, rationalization of transport policy and creation of equal competitive conditions for different types of transport.
