Turkmenistan ratifies customs cooperation agreement with UAE

On August 1, 2023, the President of Turkmenistan ratified a number of international agreements on customs cooperation, including an agreement between Turkmenistan and the United Arab Emirates. This is reported on the official website of Halk Maslakhaty. The agreement on customs cooperation and mutual assistance was originally signed in Abu Dhabi on November 21, 2022.

This ratification, carried out in accordance with Article 15 of the International Treaties of Turkmenistan Act, finalized the bilateral agreement. The agreement is expected to promote customs cooperation and mutual assistance between the two countries.

Specific areas of cooperation outlined in the agreement include information exchange, joint actions and legal assistance on customs issues. According to officials, the agreement will contribute to strengthening trade ties and economic development between Turkmenistan and the UAE.
