Turkmen delegation studied Chinese experience in medicine

Delegation of Turkmenistan women paid a working visit to China

A delegation of women of Turkmenistan led by Oguljahan Atabayeva, who holds the post of Vice President for therapeutic activities of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charity Fund, has completed a working visit to the People's Republic of China. This is reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

During the visit, a number of important meetings with high-ranking Chinese officials took place. The meeting with Chinese Minister of Education Huai Jinpeng was devoted to studying Chinese experience in the field of special and inclusive education for children with disabilities.

Special attention was paid to health care issues. During the talks with Deputy Chairman of the State Health Committee of the People's Republic of China Zeng Yixin, the prospects of bilateral cooperation in the medical sphere and professional development of medical personnel were discussed. The Turkmen side showed interest in the Chinese experience in the treatment of oncological and genetic diseases in children.

The key result of the visit was the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the National Leader of the Turkmen People Charitable Foundation and the Song Qinglin Foundation of the People's Republic of China. The document was signed following a meeting with the head of the Chinese Foundation Mrs. Li Bin.

The delegation also held talks with Shen Yueyue, Vice-Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, where they discussed issues of strengthening peace and friendly relations between the countries.

During the meeting with Shanghai Mayor Gong Zheng, the parties reviewed Chinese experience in medicine, modern technologies and child health care.

As part of the cultural program, the participants of the delegation visited the Gugong Palace Complex in Beijing and the Song Qinglin Chinese Youth Center for Scientific, Technical and Cultural Relations.
