An FAO expert group arrived in Turkmenistan within the framework of the project "Improving the efficiency of small ruminant breeding to reduce the intensity of greenhouse gas emissions". This is reported by the Internet publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".
Within the framework of the visit FAO experts will hold meetings with representatives of the project participating institutions and travel to Dashoguz province. Further project activities will be developed based on the results of the events.
In addition, meetings with representatives of the Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Agriculture, ANT Technology Center are planned. The purpose of the trip to Dashoguz province is to hold meetings with persons responsible for distant cattle breeding and pasture management.
Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkey, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan are participating in the project.
