Б. Amanov: Turkmenistan will increase the volume of gas supplied to China

On April 26, at a conference in Dubai on investment in the oil and gas industry of Turkmenistan, Chairman of Turkmengaz Batyr Amanov announced an increase in the volume of natural gas supplies to China in accordance with the agreements reached earlier. This was reported by the Nebit-gaz newspaper.

Due to growing gas consumption in China, Turkmengaz will increase the volume of natural gas supplies to 65 billion cubic meters per year after the fourth line of the Turkmenistan-Uzbekistan-Kazakhstan-China gas trunkline is put into operation. Currently, the gas pipeline, commissioned in 2009, includes three parallel lines.

Б. Amanov stressed that in order to realize the increase in the volume of gas supply by 25 billion cubic meters per year it is planned to put into operation the second stage of development of the field "Galkynysh". Currently, negotiations are underway to start drilling of wells.
