President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a digital meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, where the results of the country's socio-economic development in the first five months of 2025 were summarized. The main achievement was the growth of gross domestic product by 6.3%.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers H. Geldimiradov presented macroeconomic indicators showing positive dynamics in all key sectors of the economy. Transportation sector showed the highest growth - 10.8%, trade increased by 9.9%, services sector - by 8.6%. The construction sector grew by 4.7%, agriculture - by 4%, industry - by 0.8%.
The volume of manufactured products increased by 9.7%, retail turnover increased by 12.5%, foreign trade turnover - by 5.4%. The revenue part of the state budget was executed by 101.2%, the expenditure part - by 97.6%. Wages of citizens increased by 11.4%, capital investments increased by 16.3%.
The oil and gas industry demonstrated exceeding the planned indicators. Deputy Prime Minister B. Amanov reported about fulfillment of the plan on oil production by 109%, refining - by 108%. Gasoline production amounted to 102.8% of the plan, diesel fuel - 101.2%, lubricating oils - 121.1%. The plan for natural and associated gas production was fulfilled by 102.5%.
In the agricultural sector, the production growth rate reached 113%, the plan on investment utilization was fulfilled by 311.8%. Deputy Prime Minister T. Atakhallyev reported on the beginning of grain harvesting campaign in three velayats, and on June 11, mowing will start in Balkan and Dashoguz velayats. Silkworm breeders produced over 2,100 tons of silkworm cocoons, fully fulfilling contractual obligations.
The construction-industrial complex showed fulfillment of the plan by 109%. According to Deputy Prime Minister B. Annamammedov, the Ministry of Construction fulfilled the plan by 113.4%, the Ministry of Industrial Construction - by 114.8%, the Ministry of Energy - by 108.8%.
Chairman of the Mejlis D. Gulmanova reported on lawmaking activities: eight laws of Turkmenistan were adopted, amendments were made to the existing codes, ten resolutions of the parliament were adopted. The bills on the protection of human rights, creation of a unified state register of voters and virtual assets are under development. The MPs received credentials from six ambassadors, held 30 meetings with foreign colleagues and participated in 48 seminars.
