Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan met with the Director of the UNESCO Office

Deputy Foreign Minister Myahri Byashimova met with Director of the UNESCO Cluster Office in Tehran Golda El Khoury on May 15 this year, the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan informs.

The parties noted the active cooperation in the field of inclusion of Turkmen national values in the UNESCO List of Cultural Objects. It was noted that the UNESCO Representative List of Heritage was enriched with Turkmen intangible values "International holiday Novruz", "Art of Turkmen embroidery", "Silk weaving and traditions of silk production in weaving", "Traditions of retelling jokes of Khoja Nasreddin".

During the conversation, emphasis was placed on the importance of opening Chairs of the organization in two leading universities of Turkmenistan, which was a consequence of fruitful cooperation. The meeting also actively discussed the upcoming conference on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's membership in UNESCO.
