The assessment of the Office of the Ombudsman of Turkmenistan was carried out by representatives of various structures and global public organizations, including UNDP, APF, OHCHR.
The purpose of the evaluation exercise was to enable a comprehensive study of the potential of the Office, which could result in suggestions for optimizing the structure's performance and better protecting human rights.
The assessment included interviews with representatives of the highest and local state authorities, the Supreme Court, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, law enforcement agencies, and various departments and ministries.
The result of the activities will be a detailed report with recommendations on strategic priorities to the Office of the Ombudsman.
