President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and St. Petersburg Governor Alexander Beglov met on September 11. This was reported by the online publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".
During the meeting, Beglov reaffirmed the commitment to further fruitful development of Turkmen-Russian cooperation. The sides emphasized that the countries effectively cooperate in political and diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres, and ties have been established between Turkmenistan and the regions of the Russian Federation.
It was noted that Turkmenistan fruitfully cooperates with St. Petersburg in the processing of agricultural products and in the food industry. The Russian partners put forward a proposal to develop cooperation in the construction of "smart" cities and digitalization.
