Ashgabat, July 18 - Arzuw.news. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan held a briefing on preparations for the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries. This is reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The event was attended by heads and representatives of diplomatic missions accredited in Turkmenistan, as well as employees of the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan.
Turkmen Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov emphasized the special importance of the upcoming event, noting that such conferences are held once a decade.
Deputy Foreign Minister Serdar Mukhammetdurdiyev emphasized the importance of the LLDC 3 conference, which will be held in the national tourist zone Avaza from August 5 to 8 this year.
The participation of heads of state and government of various countries, heads of international and regional organizations, representatives of legislative bodies, financial institutions, public associations and the private sector is expected.
The Conference should become an effective platform for the development of international cooperation in the field of sustainable development. During the briefing, participants discussed organizational and protocol aspects and proposals to enhance coordination of preparatory activities.
