Ashgabat, July 21 - Arzuw.news. President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting with Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atakhallyev and khakims of velayats on the development of the agricultural sector and regions. This is reported by the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.
During the meeting, regional leaders reported on the progress of agricultural works in their velayats. Mr. T. Nurmyradov, Khakim of Akhal velayat, reported on plowing and leveling of fields freed after the harvest, preparation of machinery for the upcoming sowing season and cotton care.
Hyakim of Balkan velayat H.Ashirmyradov reported on preparation of fields after wheat harvesting, inter-row treatment of cotton areas and preparation for fall planting of potatoes. Head of Dashoguz province D.Babayev reported on preparation of fields for next year's harvest and harvesting of spring potatoes.
D. Genjiev from Lebap velayat reported on plowing of areas after the grain harvesting campaign and works on cotton fields. D.Annaberdiev from Mary velayat reported on the completion of sugar beet planting and preparation for fall planting of crops.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atakhallyev presented a report on measures to prepare for sowing wheat next year and works on cotton areas across the country.
The head of state emphasized the importance of observing agronomic norms and timely settlements between producers and service companies. The President also gave instructions on observing fire safety rules in high temperatures and controlling the use of electricity, natural gas and water.
All works are being carried out under the country's Socio-Economic Development Program 2022-2028 and the National Program for the Transformation of the Socio-Economic Conditions of the People until 2028.
