Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Turkmenistan Ahmed Al-Hai Hamad Khamis Al-Hameli sent written messages to the country's leadership on June 14 thanking them for the assistance rendered to the passengers of the UAE Airlines.
The letters are addressed to the President of Turkmenistan and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman Halk Maslakhaty. They express gratitude on behalf of the UAE Government for the support provided by the Turkmen authorities during the forced suspension of several flights at Ashgabat International Airport on June 13.
The Turkmen side organized a hospitable reception for the passengers of the delayed flights, providing them with food and water during several hours of waiting.
The Ambassador noted that this attitude made a deep impression on the UAE representatives. The letter emphasizes that the actions of the Turkmen side demonstrate the noble humanitarian values characteristic of the government and people of Turkmenistan.
The diplomat called the incident a testimony to the depth of brotherly relations between the two states and a manifestation of the true spirit of solidarity and mutual assistance.
