On April 15, Tashkent hosted the Second Ministerial Meeting of the Strategic Dialogue "Gulf Cooperation Council for Arab States - Central Asia" (GCC + CA), which was attended by a Turkmen delegation headed by Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The event was also attended by delegations from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the UAE, the State of Qatar, the State of Kuwait, the Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Bahrain and Central Asian countries. Issues of cooperation in trade and economic, investment, transportation and communication, cultural and humanitarian, environmental protection and tourism spheres were discussed.
The implementation of the Joint Action Plan on Strategic Communication and Cooperation for 2023-2027 was also discussed. As a result of the meeting, the Joint Statement of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Central Asia and the Arab Gulf States was adopted.
