Ministers of Agriculture of CA countries met in Ashgabat within the framework of the international forum

Within the framework of the international forum "Partnership in the field of food security in the context of global climate change" in Ashgabat hotel "Ýyldyz" a meeting of agriculture ministers of Central Asian states was held. This is reported by the online edition of "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".

During the discussion, it was stressed that the Turkmen side systematically and consistently develops cooperation with the UN and specialized units of the Organization, including FAO. Turkmen specialists emphasized the importance of adapting traditional agricultural practices to changing climatic conditions.

It was noted that the countries of the Central Asian region today face a difficult task: to make the agro-industrial complex more productive and able to meet new needs.

The agenda included the close links between climate change, socio-economic conditions and climate systems.
