The Daykhan associations "Andalip" in the Akdepe district of Dashoguz province and Erbent in the Central Karakums and the mountainous district of Nokhur in Akhal province, being pilot projects of FAO/GEF CACILM-2, are provided with modern equipment. This is reported by the Internet publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".
The partners in Turkmenistan have already received three 25 hp four-wheel drive tractors, three four-row planters, a no-till planter and 15 two-wheeled power tillers. A laser land planner was also handed over to the Daykhan Association "Andalip", which ensures efficient use of water resources, prevents degradation of soil fertility and is used for land leveling with the help of special equipment.
When using a laser planner, uniform germination of crops, optimal nutrition and moisturization, reduced weed growth, and, consequently, increased yields are observed.
