The ceremony of presenting copies of credentials by Japanese Ambassador to Turkmenistan Sasaki Hiroshi to Turkmen Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov took place today. This is reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and prospects for further cooperation in priority areas. The cooperation in the format "Central Asia - Japan" was highly appreciated.
It was also recognized that political dialogue at the highest and high levels, as well as the development of parliamentary diplomacy play a special role in political and diplomatic cooperation. The sides noted that the partnership in the trade and economic sphere, as well as in energy, transportation and communications, industry, agriculture, and environmental protection is actively developing.
In addition, the sides emphasized the effectiveness of cooperation in the cultural and humanitarian sphere, including culture, science and education.
