The President of Turkmenistan received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov on Friday, November 17. This was reported by the State Information Agency of Turkmenistan.

The President of Turkmenistan warmly welcomed the Foreign Minister to the friendly Turkmen land and expressed confidence that the visit of the Uzbek delegation would be fruitful and would contribute to the development of bilateral cooperation between the countries. Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that the Republic of Uzbekistan is a strategic partner of Turkmenistan, the relations with which are built on the principles of respect, good-neighborliness and brotherhood.

The sides positively noted the growth rates of trade turnover, active development of cooperation in transport and logistics, fuel and energy and agricultural spheres. They also emphasized the need for further development of partnership in the cultural and humanitarian spheres.
