Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan reports to the President on legislative work

During the regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, which was held on November 17, 2023 via digital network, Chairman of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan D. Gulmanova reported to the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov on lawmaking activities carried out in accordance with the basic provisions of the Constitution of Turkmenistan. This was reported by the State Information Agency of Turkmenistan.

The Speaker of Mejlis noted the strengthening of ties with international organizations and parliaments of many foreign countries. In particular, D. Gulmanova informed about the acceptance of credentials of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Philippines, meetings with the Head of the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights of the OSCE and representatives of the U.S. Agency for International Development.

The President of Turkmenistan emphasized the importance of continuing the development of new laws, which should reflect the effective policy of the state, contributing to its further development.
