Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan R. Meredov today held a meeting with the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Palestine to Turkmenistan Rana Abu Hijleh.
During the meeting, the Palestinian diplomat presented copies of her credentials to the head of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry. Mr. Meredov congratulated Rana Abu Hijleh on her appointment and reiterated Turkmenistan's readiness to contribute to the successful fulfillment of her diplomatic mission.
The sides held a detailed discussion of the current state of Turkmen-Palestinian cooperation in political and diplomatic, trade and economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres. Following the talks, the diplomats highlighted the key areas for further expansion of bilateral partnership.
The participants of the meeting stressed the importance of interaction between the two states both at the bilateral level and within the framework of the activities of international organizations.
Ambassador Rana Abu Hijleh expressed her determination to direct maximum efforts to strengthening Turkmen-Palestinian relations during her diplomatic duties.
