The first meeting of the new convocation of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan was held

On April 6, the first meeting of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan of the new convocation was held, where President Serdar Berdimuhamedov took part. This was reported by the state news agency "Turkmenistan Today".

Deputies of the sixth and seventh convocations, deputy chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, heads of ministries and departments, representatives of political parties and public organizations, and the press arrived at the Center for Public Organizations to participate in the meeting.

After the agenda was approved, the head of the Central Election Commission was the first to speak, reporting on the results of the March 26 elections. The meeting was continued by the Chairman of the Mandate Commission B. Seyilov. In his speech he recognized the powers of 125 elected deputies. During the meeting, the issue of selecting the Chairman of the Mejlis by secret ballot was raised, at which D. Gulmanova was elected. Gulmanova.
