On the margins of the 79th session of the UNGA on September 30, 2024, Turkmen Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov met with UN Under-Secretary-General for General Assembly and Conference Management Movses Abelian. About it reports Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan.
The UN Under-Secretary-General expressed good wishes about Turkmenistan's vice-chairmanship at the 79th session of the UNGA. The sides also discussed Turkmenistan's chairmanship at one of the sessions of the "Summit of the Future" held in September in New York.
The issues of organizing and holding joint events within the UN framework were discussed. The Turkmen side expressed readiness to continue activities on realization of regional and international level events.
