On September 7, a ceremony of presenting credentials of the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Belgium, appointed as head of Turkmenistan's mission to NATO, to NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg took place. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
During the meeting, the Ambassador emphasized that Turkmenistan clearly follows the principles of neutrality, peacefulness and democracy. Turkmenistan's military doctrine is aimed exclusively at strengthening global security and peace, protecting national interests and ensuring its own military security. The parties also noted the high efficiency of partnership relations in the educational sphere.
The parties noted the main areas of cooperation as chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear security, emergency management, cyber security, military medicine, combating terrorism and illegal drug trafficking, as well as foreign language training programs for military specialists.
