Turkmenistan held solemn ceremonies honoring graduates of the Military Academy and cadets of higher educational institutions of the country's military and law enforcement agencies.
The events began with laying flowers at the monuments to Berdymukhamed Annaev and Myalikguli Berdymukhamedov, as well as at the monuments of the "Halk hakydasy" Memorial Complex. The main ceremony was held on the square in front of the Constitution Monument.
Graduates of the Military Academy, the Great Saparmurat Turkmenbashi Military Institute, the Border Institute, the National Security Institute, the Interior Ministry Institute and the Military Medical Faculty took part in the celebrations.
The participants of the ceremony listened to the congratulatory address of the President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Army General Serdar Berdimuhamedov. In his message, the head of state emphasized the role of military educational institutions as a forge of personnel to protect the country's independence, sovereignty and national security.
The President noted the significance of the International Year of Peace and Trust, as well as the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality recognized by the UN. The address paid special attention to the training of military personnel using innovative methods, multimedia equipment and digital technologies.
Last year, a new complex of the Berdymukhamed Annayev Specialized Military School No. 1 was opened. The state continues to systematically improve the conditions of service and life of servicemen, build modern military camps, border posts and residential buildings.
During the ceremony, graduates were presented with diplomas, badges and certificates. The young officers took the oath of allegiance in front of the National Flag.
The event ended with demonstrations by the Guard of Honor and a parade march by the participants. At the end of the ceremony, the participants adopted a thank-you address to the President with assurances of selfless service to the Motherland and ensuring the country's security.
