The Embassy of Turkmenistan in the United Kingdom organized a bike ride through famous Hyde Park on World Cycling Day. The bike ride was attended by diplomatic staff, students from Turkmenistan, the Turkmen diaspora and Londoners studying at British universities.
At the start of the ten-kilometer bike ride, the organizers drew attention to the importance of Bike Day and the popularization of the values embedded in this idea, as called for in the United Nations General Assembly resolution adopted at Turkmenistan's initiative in 2018. The resolution and the initiative emphasize the benefits, environmental friendliness, accessibility, and simplicity of bicycle transportation, which also strengthens the physical and mental potential of the individual.
