China and Turkmenistan have agreed to establish a joint medical center in Turkmenistan. The sides also intend to expand partnerships in healthcare and to implement measures to exchange experience in the field of traditional medicine. This is reported in "Neutral Turkmenistan" newspaper. Joint Statement signed by the President of Turkmenistan and Chairman of the People's Republic of China after the official meeting on January 5-6, 2023.
The parties also reached agreements on strengthening cooperation in diagnostics and therapy with the help of traditional medicine, in the cultivation of medicinal plants, in the prevention of various diseases, and in the digitalization of the medical sphere.
The president of China emphasized the country's readiness to assist Turkmenistan in training highly qualified medical specialists.
