On February 3, celebrations on the occasion of the thirtieth anniversary of diplomatic cooperation with Uzbekistan were held in Ashgabat's Tashkent Park. This is reported on the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
Government representatives, members of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Turkmenistan, heads of public organizations, representatives of scientific and creative circles attended the celebrations. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan R. Meredov and Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan A. Kuchkarov made speeches during the celebrations.
The parties noted the strategic nature of interaction between the two states, in which bilateral meetings at the highest level and open dialogue of trust play an important role. The importance of trade and economic, political, cultural and humanitarian interaction was emphasized.
The ceremony included a performance by artists from the two countries during a celebratory concert and a tasting of dishes of the national cuisine of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
