Turkish Trade Minister Omer Bolat spoke about plans to increase trade with Turkmenistan with mutual trade turnover more than doubling. This is reported by the online edition "CentralAsia.news".
The two sides plan to strengthen the economic partnership through the creation of a new roadmap envisioning an increase in annual trade turnover from 2.5 to 5 billion dollars. The new roadmap for economic cooperation between the two countries is planned to be adopted at the 8th intergovernmental commission to be held in February-March next year in Ankara.
Omer Bolat emphasized that in accordance with the new roadmap, Turkmen-Turkish relations in the energy sector will be developed, in particular, new action plans will be defined for gas supplies from Turkmenistan to the European Union countries.
