Delegation of Turkmenistan negotiates accession to WTO

On March 13, 2023, several meetings of the delegation of Turkmenistan headed by R. Dzhepbarov - Chairman of the State Bank of Turkmenistan on accession to the World Trade Organization were held. Negotiations were held with representatives of the WTO, the UN European Commission, the International Trade Center. The delegation of the country confirmed the commitment of the Turkmen Government to join the international organization as a full member. In the course of negotiations, the details of accession to the WTO and the possibility of activation of the program on preparation of initial documents were discussed.

Representatives of international organizations stressed their readiness to assist Turkmenistan in reforming its economy and joining the World Trade Organization.
