Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov took part in the fourth session of the Central Asia-India Dialogue held on June 6, 2025, as part of his official visit to the Republic of India. The talks focused on the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India gas pipeline (TAPI) as a key project to strengthen interconnectivity between the regions.

The Turkmen Foreign Minister emphasized the country's active role in promoting trade and economic and investment integration, as well as initiating major infrastructure and logistics projects. The ministers discussed prospects for multilateral cooperation and increasing the efficiency of economic interaction in the spheres of mutual trade, investment, industry and transport interconnectivity.

The participants of the meeting considered the development of transport and transit potential of Central Asian countries and India, including the creation of regional and international transport corridors. On regional security issues, it was noted that Turkmenistan's neutral status serves as an effective tool for peacemaking and strengthening stability on a regional and global scale.

The talks proposed to explore the possibility of establishing a Joint Program of Technological and Scientific Cooperation between Central Asia and India. The program should cover innovative technologies, digitalization, biotechnology and nanotechnology, including educational exchanges, joint research, support for start-ups and introduction of innovations into production.

The importance of cooperation in the fields of health care, pharmaceuticals and scientific research was particularly emphasized. The participants stated that diplomatic interaction within the framework of this mechanism is aimed at promoting the culture of interstate dialog and strengthening mutually beneficial partnership on global and regional agenda.

As a result of the fourth meeting of the Central Asia-India Dialogue, a Joint Statement was adopted, which consolidated the agreements of the parties on further development of multifaceted cooperation.
