President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov arrived on a working visit to Kazakhstan to participate in the second Central Asia-China Summit, which is taking place in Astana.
The plane of the Turkmen head of state landed at Nursultan Nazarbayev International Airport. The President was met at Astana airport by Kazakh Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov, other officials and members of the Turkmen delegation.
Before leaving Ashgabat, the President was seen off at the international airport of the capital by representatives of Turkmenistan's official circles.
Participation in the summit reflects the course of Turkmenistan's foreign policy strategy for the development of relations with China. This strategy was laid down by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and is being implemented under the leadership of the current president.
The first summit in the "Central Asia-China" format was held in May 2023 in the Chinese city of Xi'an. At that time, the President of Turkmenistan presented proposals on the development of interregional cooperation in various areas through the coordination of joint efforts.
