Turkmenistan launched an initiative to develop a Global Security Strategy

At the 78th session of the UN General Assembly, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov made an initiative to develop a Global Security Strategy. This is reported by the Internet publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".

According to the Head of Turkmenistan, the Global Security Strategy should be based on the principles of the UN Charter and universally recognized norms of law, taking into account the current agenda. The strategy should include both traditional and new risk factors.

As Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized, the Global Security Strategy should include preventive diplomacy, the use of neutrality for the peaceful settlement of disputes, the restoration of a culture of trusting dialogue on the basis of the proclamation of 2023 as the "Year of Dialogue as a Guarantee of Peace".
