Turkmen Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov held talks with Hu Heping, Deputy Head of the Propaganda Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on June 3, 2025. During the meeting, the sides considered key areas of comprehensive strategic partnership between the two states.
The diplomats emphasized the importance of regular contacts at the highest level for the activation of bilateral cooperation. The participants in the talks confirmed the course for strengthening inter-parliamentary and inter-party ties, as well as expanding inter-regional cooperation.
Within the framework of multilateral interaction, the role of the Central Asia-China dialog was emphasized. The parties highly appreciated the effectiveness of joint work in international and regional organizations, primarily in the UN structures.
Trade and economic direction was emphasized as the most important factor in strengthening friendly relations between the countries. Special attention was paid to the development of cultural and humanitarian ties.
The participants of the meeting discussed the prospects of cooperation in the spheres of education, science and culture. They also considered the possibilities of expanding cooperation in the field of mass media and realization of joint youth projects.
